Assalaamu 'alaikum warrahmatullaahi wabarakatuh (peace, mercy, and blessings be upon you all),

We are MusCare, a 501c3 organization dedicated to giving back to humanity and bringing compassion together. We originally started as Facebook groups ("MusCare Group" and "MusNY") and wanted them to be platforms for people to find jobs, learn about charities and volunteer opportunities, seek housing, find missing persons, buy/sell products, and promote businesses in New York.

After continuing to see countless posts for various causes and so many people sharing and donating, we thought it would be a good idea to find a way for people to easily donate every month, and in turn, help multiple causes without much effort. Then came the idea of the "Donate A Dollar" Project.

Our motivation is simple. As Muslims, we are commanded to give back to the poor and needy. For those fortunate enough to give, even a dollar can help those in need. As a reminder, we should all be familiar with the hadith that discuss the seven types of people shaded on the Day of Judgement. One of them is 'a person who gives in charity and conceals it to such an extent that his left hand does not know what his right hand gives' [Sahih Bukhari & Muslim]. Thus, we want to work together to be one of those who are protected by Allah's shade and attain righteousness.

MusCare is a registered nonprofit. We seek to gain good deeds and earn Allah's happiness. If you or your organization would like to partner with us on a project or have ideas, please do not hesitate to contact us! Team work makes the dream work and we're all in it together!

Remember, 'Whoever relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, Allah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Resurrection.'
